Young Artist development program

Samantha has been the education advisor for Calgary Pro Musica since 2010. She works with the Artistic Director in directing the Young Artist Development Program and providing production support for the CPMS Family Concerts. For their 2020-2021 season the members of the YADP worked with Dean O’Brien, Samantha Whelan Kotkas and film maker Emil Agopian to create a 12 part Musical Body Break Educational Web-Series . This series features the musicians of the Calgary Pro Musica Society's Dick Matthews Young Artists Development Program - Fiona Marchetto and Anastasia Salazar (violins), Nikolai Nesterov (piano) and Sabina Sandvoss (cello). These musical body breaks were created to teach elementary school students about Classical music while providing an opportunity for them to move safely during the pandemic restrictions.
